VEIKKAUS (Finnish National Lottery) cooperates with FSF

  • The sports organisations receive state aid, which secure sports opportunities for all Finns and especially for families
  • Approximately 85 million euros from Veikkaus’ profits is annually directed to sports over the Ministry of Education.
  • Sports betting make up one third of Veikkaus’ turnover.

  • A non-governmental sports federation for over one million Finns
  • Founded in November 1993
  • Serves as an umbrella organisation for all of its member organisations
  • Includes 132 member organisations, the membership of which totals over 1,1 million Finns.

  • The aim on the Finnish Sports Federation is an equal sports culture, where all Finns have equal opportunities to participate, act and make decisions concerning sports.
  • The most important task for the Finnish Sports Federation is to ensure a healthy social environment for the sporting society in Finland and to be able to respond to the changing requirements of physically active people.
  • The Finnish Sports Federation has chosen to operate through a vital, non-governmental activity in sports.
