From 1-12 July 2009 Belgrade/Serbia will be the host of the 25th Summer Universiade!

• 9 000 athletes from over 170 countries
• 15 sport disciplines
• 35 competition venues
• New Athletes’ Village
• 10 000 volunteers!!!

Volunteer Department of Universiade Belgrade is working hard in many directions towards creating the best possible environment for its volunteers that will enable us to be productive in working and learning together.

When it comes to foreign volunteers, our data base is growing bigger daily. We are very proud to see that so many great, highly motivated individuals are interested in organizing this gigantic event with us. The diversity and endless number of skills and competences our volunteers are bringing to Universiade will help us create atmosphere where besides great competitions we will be also making new friendships, learn and have fun.

Some of the things we provided for our foreign volunteers are: free accommodation, meals, uniforms, and free public transportation in Belgrade through the integrated public transportation system.

If you are ambitious, hardworking and interested in first-hand experience of a large sports competition, if you have knowledge or want to build it up - become a volunteer during Belgrade Universiade 2009.
